MAY IN REVIEW On behalf of all the staff members of NIS, I'd like to thank you for all of the delicious baked goods and heartfelt letters you wrote for Staff Appreciation Day. Every member of our staff contributes a unique part to the learning experience at NIS, and reading about your children's growth throughout the year made us feel proud and appreciated.        This past month, several of our classes hatched ducklings in their classrooms, and watched caterpillars turn into butterflies!  The children truly enjoyed these hands-on science projects!        We know you also all enjoyed seeing your children perform in their class plays!               SPEECH NEWS  A WORD from Your Speech Therapists... Throughout his life, Rich was actively involved in helping NIS and other non-profit organizations that helped children across Long Island, so his family and friends pulled together to form a foundation to continue his generous work in his memory. NIS has been a proud recipient of the funds raised at the Richard J. O'Brien Golf Outings for the past few years, and has once again been chosen as a recipient of a portion of the funds raised at the 2014 Outing. We hope you can join us! School is closed on Wed., 1/22.

1/21/14 Weather Alert

Due to the weather, all PM classes will be cancelled today. At this time we are asking Child Care families to pick up as early as possible but at the latest 3pm. The full day classes are being dismissed one hour early and buses will depart as close to 1:30PM as possible. We will be watching the weather reports and we will keep you informed if there are any changes.  Please drive safely!
